Experience that Counts.
With nearly 30 years of public service, Steve has built his career on showing up, leading with integrity, and delivering results. As a combat veteran who served in both Iraq and Afghanistan, he learned how to lead under pressure, make critical decisions, and stay focused on both immediate needs and long-term outcomes. Those lessons continue to shape how he approaches challenges today.
Steve combines real-world leadership experience with a strong academic foundation, holding a Master’s in Public Administration and a Master’s in Leadership Studies with an emphasis in Community Engagement. He understands that good policy isn’t just about ideas—it’s about execution, collaboration, and accountability.
As a former educator, Steve often challenged his students with a simple exercise: define your leadership style in six words. His own? “Excited? Me too. Let’s work together!”
